Joe is lucky. He gets to attend a lot of concerts because he has friends in the music business.
Last week he went to see Sade. She is an amazing singer and songwriter from Nigeria who grew up in England. Her voice has a unique sound and almost all of her songs have to do with love in one form or another.
Let’s hear what Joe has to say about the concert.

Miguel:  Hey Joe I heard you say you went to the Sade concert. How was it?

Joe:  The Sade concert was incredible Miguel I went and I really enjoyed myself.

Miguel:  So, did she play all her old songs and stuff?

Joe:  She played so many of her old songs and she did some of her new songs as well. I mean she went back and she did “Smooth Operator” which is one of my favorites and then she did “No Ordinary Love” and just so many songs.

Miguel:  What about, what about “Kiss Of Life” did she play that one?

Joe:  No she didn’t, she didn’t perform “Kiss Of Life.” I really wish she would have though because that’s a real cool song.

Miguel:  She hasn’t been on tour for seems like twenty years or something. Where, where’s she been?

Joe:  Exactly. You know it’s interesting. But at the end of the concert, she came in front of everybody and she said you know, she apologized for, um, the… She didn’t really apologize for the performance but she said that they hadn’t performed in ten years and that they were kind of rusty.

Miguel:  So could you see that in the performance? Was it creaky and kinda off or what?

Joe:  Yeah it was. It was, it was kind of slipshod.

Miguel:  Really?

Joe:  Yep. In parts, there were times where you could tell that maybe the band wasn’t exactly playing the music and that there was a maybe a tape playing or a CD playing.

Miguel:  Oh, so mabye they hadn’t like learned all the songs, like they weren’t playing them

perfectly yet.

Joe:  Exactly.

Miguel:  Gotcha.

Discussion

Joe obviously enjoyed himself at the Sade concert. Even though the band seemed a little rusty, the music was still very pleasing to his ears.

So strange….... no comments to this lesson. Such behaviour  is unfair towards such amazing singer like Sade is! To say: “I like Sade” is to say nothing. She has not yet visited my city, but if she will decide to do it one day I will be the first one who will be there. Joe, the song “Kiss Of Life” is magic one. The unique deep sound of her voice makes the creep on my skin. She deserved to be called “the most soft and sexy woman’s voice”. Try to listen her, being surrounded with the soft lighting. Try to listen Sade without any distraction from outside. You will get an amazing feeling, I promise you ;)
