Miguel:  How was the show last night?

John:  It was pretty cool. It was at that new amphitheater up in Vancouver.

Miguel:  So it was John Mayer, right?

John:  Yeah. John Mayer and the Counting Crows. It was kinda interesting because the Counting Crows opened for John Mayer.

Miguel:  Yeah, that’s surprising. I would usually think of the Counting Crows as a bigger, more popular band than he is, you know.

John:  Yeah, but they seemed kinda washed out this time, so he was definitely the star of the night.

Miguel:  Were there lots of girls there screaming for him?

John:  Oh, the place was full. You know it’s an amphitheater, so it’s all outside. We were all sitting on the grass and everybody was up dancing and, and having a blast when he came on.

Miguel:  How many people you think were there? Like 10,000 or something?

John:  Well the place fits 28,000, so it’s really big, and I’d say it was probably three quarters full. So there were prob – there were at least twenty.

Miguel:  Wow. That sounds like a lot of fun.

Discussion

I’m jealous! I would have loved to see John Mayer. He is one of the best young singer-songwriters in the world and he is supposedly a great live performer. Unfortunately, I had other plans so I couldn’t make it to the show. Maybe I’ll catch him next time he swings through town.
Rock on,
Migs
