2003 was a good year for Jessica Simpson. She and her husband, Nick Lachey starred in Newlyweds, which became one of MTV’s most popular shows. Her appearance on the show brought her to the forefront of pop stardom – a place she hadn’t been when she was just a singer.

Jessica Simpson released her first album in 1999, the same year that Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Mandy Moore became huge pop stars. Jessica’s album was successful, but she was overshadowed by the other beautiful blond starlets.
Lucky for Jessica, MTV wanted to make a new show starring her and her husband, who is also a pop star. The couple allowed cameras into their home for the first few months of their marriage. Due to Jessica’s quirky personality, the show was a great success. Both Jessica and Nick gained popularity with people all over the world.
Jessica recently released her third album, titled In This Skin. It features a song called “With You,” which is already a smash.

Personally, I don’t much care for Jessica Simpson. I think she’s kind of annoying. However, I do understand why people like her. She’s gorgeous and she has a cute personality. She’s also an airhead, which means that she says lots of funny things on her TV show.
