Allison: I like to listen to a lot of his music and play a lot of it.
Steph: Really? Do you actually like know some of his songs?
Allison: I know a few.
Steph: Which ones do you know?
Allison: Um, my favorites to play are New Coat of Paint and * Wish I was in New Orleans.
Steph: Wow. That sounds pretty cool. Where’s he, is he from New Orleans?
Allison: He is.
Steph: Really? Do you know anything else about him?
Allison: I don’t know that much about him. But, I know a lot about the music in New Orleans? And I really like it a lot.
Steph: Did you know that he was in Bram Stoker’s Dracula*?
Allison: No. Really?

Discussion
If you play an instrument, chances are that you have influences.
Sometimes, you hear a musician play and try to copy what they do. Other times, you might just naturally sound like they do.
It sounds like Allison really likes the genre of music that Tom Waits plays.
Are there any genres of music that you like a lot?
