John: You gonna see The Stones on their upcoming tour, Taylor?
Taylor: I’m not really so excited about seeing The Stones, but you know I’d love to see either Wilco or Pearl Jam open up for them.
John: Oh yeah, those are some of their warm up acts this tour, huh?
Taylor: Yeah, yeah. You know, it’s nobody who plays honky tonk or anything, you know. I don’t know how compatible it will be with The Stones but, you know, we can see some good licks coming out of their guitars for sure.
John: Yeah, I wonder what their set list will be like. Whenever you have a band like that, that’s been around for a long time, they’re gonna play some new stuff, but hopefully a lot of the old favorites.
Taylor: Mostly crowd pleasers.
John: Yeah. Which I don’t mind at all. I like to be pleased as a member of the crowd. You know, I don’t even know if they’re coming through Portland. Do you know?
Taylor: I, you know, haven’t heard that on the grapevine yet. You know, I should probably check the paper.
John: Yeah, well, I think they’re coming through the U.S. this fall or winter, um, so it’d be coming up here in the next couple months.
Taylor: Yeah, you know, they are going to South America. I know you were planning a trip down to there, maybe even Japan in the winter or spring.
John: How cool would that be to see The Stones in Rio or something?
Taylor: That would be awesome.

Many people consider The Rolling Stones to be the greatest rock and roll band of all time. Through classics such as (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, Angie and Beast of Burden, they certainly have stood the test of time.
In the 1960s The Stones, like many rock bands, were known for their bad behavior off stage. Now, forty years later, instead of touring the world with drugs and girls, the band is touring with a defribillator – a medical device that shocks your body with electric pulses to restart your heart after a heart attack. Kind of gives a new meaning to the song, Start Me Up, huh?
