Taylor: So who is this, ah, Michael Buble fellow you were talking about?
Dave: Yeah, Michael Buble, he’s kind of a lounge, cabaret-style singer.
Taylor: Uh huh.
Dave: I hadn’t heard of him until I moved to Bangkok like two years ago and on their local train system they were playing his music and videos on the tv screens non-stop. Um, it was kind of overkill but I really fell in love with the guy, now. I like his music a lot.
Taylor: Is it jazzy? Does it have vibes or guitar? Or what kind of, ah, you know, instrumentation?
Dave: Yeah. There’s not much. He mostly just a vocal singer, kind of harkens back to the Rat Pack, Frank Sinatra.
Taylor: Crooner.
Dave: Yeah, exactly. He’s kind of an old crooner. Um, he’s nice. He’s different than, like, Robbie Williams. You know who he is?
Taylor: Less pop.
Dave: Yeah.
Taylor: Yeah.
Dave: Robbie Williams was in a boy band in Britain and then that kind of fizzled, that part of his career. So now he’s kind of doing this cabaret-style. But he’s only doing it as a pick-me-up.
Taylor: Right.

Michael Buble is hot and getting hotter. His song Home has hit the billboard charts and isn’t going away. Plus his own music, ‘The Bube’ has covered classics by Frank Sinatra, Van Morrison and The Beatles.
Check him out. He’s good stuff.
