Reunions are a common activity for former students. Usually held 10, 20, 30, or even 50 years after graduation, a reunion is a way to celebrate old friends and memories. A reunion is also a great way to catch up with people and see how they’ve changed over the years.
John and Migs recently went to their 10 year high school reunion. Listen to John tell Zach all about it.

Zach: So John, what’d you do this weekend?
John: Actually, I had my ten year high school reunion.
Zach: No way. Did you go somewhere? Did you go out of town for it?
John: Yeah – I grew up down in Eugene, so Miguel and I went back down there. We were in the same class.
Zach: Wow, that’s really cool. Did a lot of people show up for it?
John: A lot more people came than I thought were going to.
Zach: Were there a lot of friends that you, you met up with?
John: I think the best part was that all my best friends from high school flew in for this event. And then there were all those people that were your kind of secondary friends in high school that you haven’t talked to since then, but you were really glad to see.
Zach: That’s great. Do you have any good stories?
John: Well, you know, there’s always the people that have changed a lot, some for the better, some for the worse. But, uh, it’s, it’s just really nice to see everybody again. And, you know, we all had a really good time and acted like we were in high school all over again. And so, I was a little skeptical about it beforehand, but now I highly recommend attending your ten year reunion if you have any questions.

It sounds like John had a lot of fun! He got to spend time with his best friends, which is always a good way to spend a weekend.
Although John’s reunion was a success, some people don’t like reunions. People who disliked school usually don’t have any interest in going to a reunion – which is OK. Hopefully, those people have moved on, made lots of new friends and created many valuable memories.
What about you? Have you ever been to a reunion? Do you want to go to your 10 year high school reunion? Come to the Life Goes On message board and let us know!
Have a great week!
