John: Have you been to Vancouver before Beth?
Beth: Only once and it was just for a day, but it was, it’s an awesome city.
John: Yeah, I was just up there last week and I had a blast. It’s so international.
Beth: That’s cool. Did you get a chance to check out some of the city’s tourist attractions.
John: No. I was there on business, so all day long I was meeting with all the English language schools. But, at night I was able to get out and check out the local scene a little bit. It’s pretty happenin’. Did you go out at all when you were there?
Beth: Only, uh, one night. I went out for dinner and then I was actually on my way to the ski slopes, so I left very early in the morning. But I remember that the city is really beautiful and the mountains and the backdrop are really dramatic.
John: Did you ski up in Whistler?
Beth: Yeah I did. That was amazing. Whistler is such a beautiful place. Have you been there?
John: I went there in the summer, but this winter I want to go back and ski. It looks awesome.

It sounds like John really enjoyed his time in Vancouver. Both of us have fond memories of the city and the nearby ski resort in Whistler.
I’ve only been to Vancouver once, but I’d like to go back there someday soon. It’s an amazing city. The water and the mountains and the beautiful buildings make it unlike any other city in the world.
Have a great week!
