A few weeks ago, there was a terrible accident in the English, baby! soap opera. Jason, after saying that the only reason he didn’t love Devan is that she has no hair, fell down the stairs.

Last week, Evil Beren mentioned that Jason is in a coma. She was right. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but has since stabilized. Though he is still unconscious, at least he’s not getting any worse. Watch as Marni and Beren visit him at the hospital.

Marni

Beren: Oh my god, I just heard. What happened? How is he? How…What…

Marni: It’s so awful. He’s in a coma.

Beren: Is it…is he stable? Do they know?

Marni: He’s stable, but he’s in critical condition.

Beren: Oh my God.

Marni: I know. It’s horrible.

Beren: Have they done any tests? Do they know…Is he gonna come out of it? Has he been responsive? Like, what happened?

Marni: I know. Do you…You don’t know how this happened?

Beren: No, no!

Marni: Oh my God. So, Jason fell after slipping on…oh my God, you’re never going to believe this…a banana peel.

Beren: What?

Marni: Yes. He slipped on a banana peel and went tumbling down the stairs and Mason found him at the bottom of the stairs.

Beren: Oh my God.

Marni: You just missed the rest of the crew. Everybody was here. We’re all…

Beren: This is terrible.

Marni: I know. It’s just ugh…It’s so sad.

Beren: Poor guy.

Discussion

Beren (who, of course, is actually Evil Beren), didn’t know what had happened yet, so Marni explains that Jason slipped on a banana peel. The rest of Jason’s friends were there earlier in the day.

They’ll just have to keep Jason in their thoughts and visit him often and hope he wakes up. Have you ever known someone who was unconscious in the hospital for a long time? How did you deal with it?

life is so weake. just a banana peel can cause someone to die. so we have to treat everyday as a gift and treasure it. i hope jason can come out of it ASAP.
