Hello!
Oregon is a great state to live in. It’s green and beautiful and there are lots of fun things to do. However, sometimes it’s nice to get out of the state and visit some of the neighboring states, like California, Washington, Nevada and Idaho.
Miguel recently traveled to Los Angeles, which is just a two hour flight from Portland. Listen to my recent conversation with him to find out what he did while he was down there.

Beth: Miguel, how was your trip to L.A.?

Miguel: It was actually phenomenal. It was one of the best vacations I’ve ever taken. The weather was perfect, um, we went to the beach and I actually saw some celebrities.

Beth: Oh wow! Who did you see?

Miguel: Well it was kinda funny, because, uh, one of my friends is an actor and he’s not like a big star yet, but he’s definitely on his way up. But, um, he’s kinda connected in the Hollywood scene. And so, uh, he invited us to come down to this bar, and it was just a random bar on the street, you know, no one would really notice it, but we walked in and, uh, immediately saw Naomi Watts, Heath Ledger and, uh, Scarlett Johansson.

Beth: No way! Were they together, or were they there with different people?

Miguel: Well I think Naomi Watts and Heath Ledger are dating. That’s the idea I got. And then Scarlett Johansson was just there with some other friends, like, kinda hanging out, you know, like a normal person.

Beth: So, did you go up to them and try to introduce yourself?

Miguel: No. I didn’t go that far, but actually Naomi Watts accidentally, uh, stumbled over my foot and then she sort of apologized, which was kinda funny. But that was my only interaction.

Beth: Wow. That’s a pretty exciting spotting.

Miguel is so lucky! It’s must have been so amazing to see those famous actors up close. It’s incredible that all three of them were hanging out at the bar at the same time.
I’ve never been down to L.A., but I’d like to go down there someday soon. It seems like such a fun place to visit!
