Steph: Sarah, I love your shoes. They’re so cute!
Sarah: Wow! Thank you! I love ‘em too! They’re kind of retro, don’t you think?
Steph: Yeah. Totally retro. Some people might even say old school retro. Although I don’t know the difference.
Sarah: Yeah, you could probably call ‘em old school. They’re going back to styles from the 70s maybe, or the 80s.
Steph: Totally. That’s really coming back in. Who makes them?
Sarah: Uh, Puma.
Steph: Puma. Yeah, I’ve seen a lot of their shoes around.
Sarah: Yeah.
Steph: Adidas and Nike are doing retro styles, too.
Sarah: Yeah. Everybody’s kind of getting into the old school groove.
Steph: Totally. Do you wear a lot of old school tennis shoes?
Sarah: Yeah. I guess I do. I think that a lot of them are cuter than, than more, than the newer styles that are coming out right now.
Steph: Yeah I think so too. I really love, admire people’s shoes when they walk down the street.
Sarah: I do too. Especially the old school ones ‘cause they look so much cooler.
Steph: Totally! Yeah it’s nice. OK. Well, I’ll see you later!
Sarah: Bye!

The retro shoe style is not only happening in America. When I was in Europe last year, the hippest pair of shoes out there was made in France. Le Coq Sportif tennis shoes were originally made in the eighties and were a fashion staple at that time. Now these shoes are back on the racks throughout Europe. Did I buy a pair? You betcha!
