If you’ve ever boiled water in a kettle before, you know that at some point, that kettle has to blow. Sometimes, people have to blow off steam too. When you have a lot of pressure or stress built up inside you that needs to be released, you can say you need to blow off steam.
There are lots of different ways to blow off steam. The comedian Kristen Wigg, who starred in Bridesmaids, likes to blow off steam by partying.
