Kim:  I had a really great time Saturday night at your Girl’s Night party.

Nedra:  Yeah, that was fun wasn’t it?

Kim:  It was great. I, ah, really liked the part where Marissa pulled out all of her makeup and started doing makeovers. That was great.

Nedra:  I know. We all looked so fancy and dressed up.

Kim:  So, are you, do you wear makeup on a regular basis?

Nedra:  No, I’m pretty lazy. I maybe put on some lipstick once in a while.

Kim:  Me too. Very natural. So, I thought you looked really great with how she, with how she did your makeover. What did you think about it?

Nedra:  I really liked it. Um, she didn’t put any mascara on and she used a lot of different colors of like, uh, eye shadow, and then the lipstick she picked out was just awesome. The color was like a mauve I think?

Kim:  Yeah, seems like it was uh, uh, light mauve. I liked how she, uh, did it really natural looking. You didn’t look made up like you feel when you walk out of the mall, after a makeover.

Nedra:  Exactly. I felt, I felt really happy to see my face.

Discussion

It’s hard to choose makeup by yourself. One way to learn more about makeup is through your friends. They can introduce you to new colors and styles. It’s also good if they demonstrate how to wear it.
In some stores you can have a makeup artist give you a free makeover. The artist will suggest colors of eyeshadow, nail polish, lipstick, foundation, eyeliners, and blush and more to match your hair and skin color. They will also show you how to put the makeup on your face.
Have you ever gotten a makeover? What’s your favorite kinds of makeup? Tell us about it on the Life Goes On message board.
Have a great weekend!
Nedra

I like being natural so I don't wear make up very often unless when I attend sort of really serious events such as meeting with clients or doing public speaking. However, I do use lipstick every day, that kind of shining pink color. I have being always used this color since I was a high school student. I felt this color made me really charming especially when I was smiling…
