It’s the beginning of a new year, so it’s a good time to start thinking about what the next 12 months have in store. For example, you might start asking yourself some questions, like: What will happen in my life? Who will I spend my time with? What will I do for fun? Where will I be at the beginning of 2005?
It’s hard to predict the future, but some people think they can do it. If you’re interested in learning how, read on to find out more about horoscopes and astrology!

Astrology is an ancient science that predates both astronomy and psychology. Studied and used throughout the world for thousands of years, Astrology is the study of the interactions among the stars and the planets, based on intricate mathematical cycles.
A horoscope is a diagram of the relative positions of planets and signs of the zodiac at a specific time (such as at one’s birth). Astrologers use horoscopes to infer individual character and personality traits and in predicting the events of a person’s life.
People all over the world used astrology for thousands of years, but it fell out of favor around the year 1500. Then, in 1930 the London Sunday Express ran an astrological profile of Princess Margaret to celebrate her birth – and so began the modern newspaper horoscope column.
Now you can find daily, weekly and monthly horoscopes in nearly every major newspaper and in hundreds of magazines. In addition, there are hundreds of interesting books about astrology.
