Derek: Hello sir. Would you like chicken or fish?
Zach: Well, actually, I think the chicken might be a little safer. I’ll go for chicken.
Derek: Alright. Um, that’ll be five dollars.
Zach: Five dollars? Wh..wh…what are you talking about?
Derek: Oh sorry. We have to charge for the meals now.
Zach: I thought, uh, this is first class. You know, I get free beer and everything and I thought the food musta been free, too.
Derek: Yes sir, the, uh, drinks are free but the food we hafta charge for. It’s, um, airline, um, maintenance.
Zach: Airline maintenance? Well, I don’t know if I want anything right now. What are you gonna charge me for my headphones too?
Derek: Uh, no sir. Those are free.
Zach: Well, at least I get something out of this flight.

You know, it makes me crazy, after spending upwards of $300 on an airplane ticket, that they would dare to charge you for things like food, drinks and those cheesy headphones. What is up with that? You know, I’ve considered bringing my own headphones, but to bring your own is always bulky and cumbersome. I think the next time I fly, I’ll just take a nap until I get to my destination.
