 I want to know , if  can I use  such phrase like this:

 First situation:

   My daughter wanted ice cream, but I didn’t let her eat it because she is too small.  So one she said to me, ” mom, my elder brother wants an ice cream, can I get one for him?”  Actually , her brother didn’t want.

  Second :

  I always don’t let my daughter eat ice cream because she is too small. One day I found she was eating an ice cream. She said to me, ” mom, my brother said  I could eat it. ”  Actually, her brother didn’t say.

  if all those situations, I could say, my dauther puts words into her brother’s mouth?
