The Hulk movie came out on DVD in late October. In the movie, scientist Bruce Banner (Eric Bana) lives a quiet life, but has a nearly forgotten and painful past. His ex-girlfriend, Betty Ross (Jennifer Connelly), has grown tired of Bruce’s reserved attitude and decides to leave him alone to live his life.
When an explosive accident happens at his lab, Bruce heroically saves a life. However, after the accident he starts experiencing some strange side effects—including blackouts and the feeling that there is some kind of strange and dark presence within him.
All the while, an impossibly strong, rampaging creature, who comes to be known as the Hulk, continues its sporadic appearances, destroying everything in sight.
Adam recently rented The Hulk. Listen to his conversation with Miguel to hear what he thinks about the film.

Adam

Miguel:  So Adam, how was The Hulk?

Adam:  It was a pretty good movie.

Miguel:  What did you like about it?

Adam:  The special effects were pretty good and the storyline was pretty decent.

Miguel:  I’ve heard that it was a little bit too serious for one of those comic book movies. Is that true?

Adam:  Uh, there was a little bit of drama in it, but I liked it.

Miguel:  So do you think it was better than, like, Spider-Man or the Batman series, or how does it compare to those?

Adam:  It’s right up there with those two.

Miguel:  Did you have a favorite part of the movie?

Adam:  There’s a scene where the Hulk gets pretty ticked off at this one guy that’s messing with his girl, and, uh, that’s probably my favorite scene.

Miguel:  So he changes – he gets really mad – and then he changes into the big green monster?

Adam:  Yeah, and actually in that scene the more upset he gets, the larger he becomes also.

Discussion

I saw The Hulk when it was in the theaters a few months ago. It’s pretty good. It’s on the level of Spider-Man, and much better than Daredevil. Both Eric Bana and Jennifer Connelly do a really good job – and I agee with Adam about the special effects. The computer animated Hulk was pretty cool.
If you like movies made from comic books, definitely go and see The Hulk!
See you at the movies!
