Do you ever find yourself surfing the internet, just checking out all the cool websites? I do this all the time. Sometimes, you can find some great things on the web. Sometimes, seeing a website prompts you to go see a live performance or read a book. Check out what Chris saw on the internet while he was surfing his day away.

Chris: So, I was surfing the web and I saw this website for a band called Fat Old Dad.
Derek: Fat Old Dad, huh? I’ve not heard of them.
Chris: Yeah, I haven’t heard of ‘em either. Wanna go check ‘em out? They’re playing a concert next Friday at the Aladdin.
Derek: I don’t know. Um, a band like that. Let’s see. With a name like that, I guess I can give ‘em a shot. See how they sound.
Chris: Well, the one thing I’m worried about is that they’re gonna sound like music my dad likes. And I don’t really like that kinda music.
Derek: Yeah. I guess that could be understandable.
Chris: And what do they look like on stage? Are they really fat, old dads? Or is that just a band name to attract people to come to their shows?
Derek: That’s, well, I would hope not. Cause that wouldn’t attract too many people, I would think, so.
Chris: I don’t think so either. Oh well. Let’s go check ‘em out.
Derek: All right.

Well, with a name like Fat Old Dad, I’m not sure how many people would drop their plans just to check out the show. But you can’t read a book by its cover right? Most band’s put Mp3s on their website so that internet surfers can listen to the music and experience it first-hand. I love to go to different bands’ websites and listen to their material. Do you do this too?
