If you sneak around watching somebody, usually through their windows at night, you are a peeping Tom. Shame on you! Peeping Tom is a negative term used to describe people who spy on others.
For example, when Brad Pitt caught photographers hiding outside of his Beverly Hills home, he referred to them as peeping Toms.
