Quote

1. Quote - Listen to the quote and guess what the slang means.

“Unless somebody has the guts to carry this through legally, somebody’s going to get killed through these chases… It’s about time that somebody did something about these stalkerazzi”.
Justin Timberlake, speaking about his recent court battle with a very determined photographer.

Definition

1. Definition - Study the definition.

As a native speaker of English and a person who really digs languages, I think that the coining of words is so cool. What is coining? That is when you make up a word and use it for the first time. I am pretty sure that Justin Timberlake coined this word, which is a combination of the words “stalker” and “paparazzi”. A member of the stalkerazzi is a photographer, who follows you around like a stalker. I’ve never heard it before. Very clever!

2. Use - Learn how the slang is used.

I guess since this is a new word, we will have to use our imaginations to talk about where it would be used. I think that famous people would use it because they are always being followed, or stalked, by photographers, or paparazzi. You might also use this if you were at a wedding or an event where the photographers followed you around.

Examples

1. Examples - Hear some example sentences.

””At the fashion show, the models were being followed closely by the stalkerazzi. They never got a free moment.”“

””My wedding photographer was like a member of the stalkerazzi. We never got a moment alone. Each kiss was part of the photo shoot.”“

””Hey, look! It’s Michael Jackson! And there’s the stalkerazzi right behind him.”“
