Migs |
Migs: When I get married, I wanna have such a great wedding.
John: Wedding? I didn’t think you wanted to get married.
Migs: Yeah, but I had a change of heart after going to my sister’s wedding. It was so perfect.
John: What was so perfect about it?
Migs: Well, first of all the rehearsal dinner was out on this boat. It was cruisin’ the bay and there was a band and food and drinks. It was just totally cool. Everyone was dancing.
John: That’s nice. How ‘bout the, uh, ceremony?
Migs: Well, the ceremony was in this little church on this hill in a wildflower preserve, and it was just like the perfect setting.
John: I can totally imagine.
Migs: But, get this. Right when the doors opened to the church, you know, when she’s about to walk down the aisle?
John: Uh huh.
Migs: Everyone turns to look at her and she totally bursts out in tears.
John: Oh my God! She wasn’t upset or anything was she?
Migs: No. I think she was just overcome with happiness. You know, she was so happy, she couldn’t stop crying her whole way as she was walking down the aisle.
John: Man, I can only hope my wife’s going to be that happy to marry me.
Migs: Ha, ha. Good luck.

Discussion
Migs is obviously very excited about his sister’s wedding. He really enjoyed himself. I’m sure part of the reason he is so excited is because he got to take a four day vacation in San Francisco. I was surprised when he said he wanted to get married, because he used say he wouldn’t mind if he never did. Are you married? Do you plan on getting married someday? What’s a good age to get married? Come to the “Life Goes On” message board and tell everyone what you think! Until next week,—John
