Migs

John:  So, what are your plans for Halloween?

Migs:  Well, I’m thinking about going to this great costume party up in Seattle, but I don’t know for sure.

John:  What, and then come back Tuesday night for work on Wednesday?

Migs:  No, no, the party’s on Saturday, I mean nothing’s going to be really going on on Halloween.

John:  What are you talking about? We’re going to have all those trick-or-treaters and everything…

Migs:  Well, that’s true, but I don’t think I’m going to do anything exciting – maybe try to scare the kids a little bit.

John:  Yeah, are you going to dress up for the kids?

Migs:  I don’t know, I don’t have a good costume, but I was thinking about maybe a werewolf or something.

John:  You know, I guess with a face like yours, you probably don’t even need to dress up.

Migs:  Yeah, that’s funny.

John:  Just kidding, dude. Your face isn’t that scary.

Migs:  That’s cool, man. I can take it.

John:  So, who’s gonna go get the treats?

Migs:  Well, I don’t know. I was thinking about maybe getting toothbrushes or something. You know, like those families that used to give you, like, healthy stuff when you were a kid?

John:  Yeah! They got like those apples and oranges and stuff. It wasn’t any fun at all.

Migs:  I was so pissed when I’d be walking away from one of those houses.

John:  All we cared about back then was just getting our bag full of sugar.

Migs:  Snickers, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Krackel… I love that stuff!

Discussion

Halloween is a great holiday. It has fun things to do for all ages. Kids like to go trick-or-treating and adults like to go to fun, scary parties and haunted houses. Here, we joke around with each other a little. As you know, teasing is a fun way for us to communicate. Do you have any Halloween experiences you’d like to share? Do you have any questions about what it’s all about? Please visit the “Life Goes On” message board and let us know. Have a great day, and watch out for scary monsters next Tuesday! —John
