Now that Summer is here, one of the most fun activities to do is to go camping!
I try to get out and enjoy nature at least a few times a Summer. Listen below as Nedra tells Brett about her latest camping experience, then tune in below to the discussion that follows!

Nedra

Brett:   You know, I’ve really wanted to go camping lately, but I’m not really sure where to go.

Nedra:   I just went camping last weekend Brett!

Brett:   Did you do it around here?

Nedra:   Um, we went to Silver Falls, which is about 2 hours south of Portland.

Brett:   2 hours south… So is that… is it in the mountains, or is it on the coast, or what’s it like. You know, I’m new to Oregon so I really don’t know the areas really well yet.

Nedra:   It is so beautiful! There’s like, many different falls you can hike around. It’s in the mountains and it was really hot so we could wear our shorts... we weren’t wearing sweatshirts, and… and, uh, we weren’t bundled up. It was really a nice time!

Brett:   So were you car camping, or did you backpack in, or what kind of situation was it?

Nedra:   Oh, we just car camped. We had some dogs, and I think… it was mostly women so we brought lots and lots of food. I swear, that’s all I did was eat!

Brett:   That’s always a fun part of camping! Your dogs must have loved it too to have all that, you know, wide open spaces to go race around and chase squirrels, or, you know, whatever.

Nedra:   Oh yeah! I mean, most of the time I had to tie my dog up because he was just really rambunctious and rowdy, but, um, for the most part he was so excited! When we got home he was so pooped out! He just layed on the floor for the rest of the night!

Brett:   So did ya sit around by the campfire and tell scary stories and stuff like that?

Nedra:   Oh, I wish! Us girls, we just talked about more real stuff, like, um, I don’t know.. just girly stuff!

Brett:   (Laughs) Right on! So, Silver Falls.. is that right?

Nedra:   Yeah.. it’s a great place to go!

Brett:   Right on! Thanks for the recommendation!
