Kyle: John, have met Sara’s dog Jack?
John: Jack, huh? No, this is the first time I’ve ever met him, or is it a girl?
Kyle: Oh, I think she is a girl. Jack’s short for Jackie.
John: She’s really cute.
Kyle: Yeah. She’s a nice dog and she knows a couple good tricks.
John: Like what?
Kyle: Well, one of her favorites is when you say this special word, she makes noise.
John: So let me get this straight. You’re gonna say a word and she’s gonna bark?
Kyle: Yep.
John: Is it, are you, do you just tell her to bark?
Kyle: No. Ready?
John: Yeah, let’s see it.
Kyle: Fish.
Jack: Bark. Bark, bark, bark.
John: Whoa.
Kyle: Easy Jack.
John: Whoa. Why does she do that?
Kyle: She’s a circus dog.
John: Let me try it once. Can I try it?
Kyle: Sure.
John: Fish.
Jack: Bark.
John: Whoa!
Kyle: Yep. That’s a tough trick to teach.
John: That’s pretty cool.

That was really cool! I have to say I have never met a dog before Jack who barked at the word fish.
That must’ve taken hours to train her to do that. She must’ve earned a lot of Scooby Snacks in the process too!
Have you ever trained a dog before? What kinds of tricks have you seen other dogs do?
