OMG! My personal hell is coming. Just got a phone call from my sister and she wants me to take the IELTS exam this January. I so much wondering how to improve my english as soon as possible so I can pass the IELTS exam, at least 5.5 overall score. What should I do? I am panicking now, I was so shocked. I am so not prepared for this, my english is very poor, I don't think I can do this:( IELTS is literary my personal hell on earth.

January is too near and two months of reviewing is too short. I feel very nervous to take the exam, I don't have a self confindence. Usually when I am nervous I can't think and speak quickly, that's the one thing I'm afraid of.

no, you explained it right but perhaps I responded it incorrectly, but I totally understand what you mean, and I guess that's what's matter most, right? hehe. Being negative is not bad at all, it's just my way of helping myself not to get hurt when I fail the exam, of course I know all of us aren't wishing to get failed. Thank you so much for the compliment, you lifted up my spirit!

J May be I did not explain it properly. I don’t want u to fail or even expect that u will, I want u to sharpen u sow and override ur panic. This is a known method to raise ur courage and efforts to the maximum gauge reading by just assuming this simple thing (so what?), u got it now… U will make it, ur English is very good no doubt.

@Alnaseem, Yeah friend, I sometimes did that. I mean expecting something to fail, so I won't get disappoinment so much when I blow it. But I'll do my best to pass it. Thank you for kind words.

@Satclimb, thank you friend. My sister wants me to stop working for me to have enough time to review my english. I'm thinking about it, I know it can help a lot.

Friend, Allow me to propose a practical solution; assume that u r going to fail and u will repeat that exam. Now, u r just trying to make the best u can to take the maximum experience from this event. No panic no apprehension nothing...ok. U know the consequence of it upfront and u will not be shocked neither by the exam hardness or the end result of itAll what I need u to do from now till the moment of that trial (as we are gonna call it) is to make it the best trial u can ever have. U r eager to see what they can do with u...

3 months is enough to raise your score Arlene, take intensive, I always attended on university exhibition in my country and how to raise your score in IELTS, it said in 3 months you can make it. And 5.5 is not hard, I know you can make it!
