Let's go folks! One slang on day!

An idea suddenly occurred to me …......we can share the slangs or useful expressions you learned from movies or songs and you think very useful and practical in daily life  together…...................

There are many slangs in english and some of them can't be found in your textbook…. i think only the native speakers understand the deep meaning of it….

but they are very useful and enrich  your language ., the problem is we seldom have the oppotunity to use them in our daily life so despite that we may have read the slang b4 but forget it very soon…......

eg :"she is always running the show' means she is the boss she decides …......

when you talked of the word celebrities i suddenly remember a big shot Leslie Cheung who was a one of my favorite chinese male stars…....

Several years ago when he came out and admitted that  had been brokeback after he was refused by his first beloved girlfriend I was really gutted. hope that no more hot stuffs are gays or leasbians….....

By the way "scoop" and "paparaze" what do the two words mean? It seems NC 17 videos are your cup of tea…........

Yesterday my boss handed me a new project, and asked: "OK?". (Do you think my answer was something like "No problem"?). Heheheh. Incorrect, My answer at this time was " A piece of cake". in fact it is not a easy pie at all i had to  burn  the candle at both ends .......

But thanks to today is my last day b4 May day….I can recharge my batteries again…....Now i am going to have a power-nap…......see you.

Because someone who wins the lottery is considered to be extremely lucky,the expression is used to express that sentiment.

If you get into the college of your choice and they offer you a full scholarship,you hit the lottery~

If you write one song and it ends up being performed by Beck,you hit the lottery.

If the girl you like tells you she likes you too…on your birthday…you hit the lottery.

You shouldn’t beat yourself up ovet it ,it’s in the post,it can not be changed.

I have a friend who is called paparazze, his nick name. I don't know how to spell it correctly, but i know him well and what he does so I think it is no big deal if I missplled his nick name.

When he was a kid he liked taking pictures, particularly famous people like my father, a Big Shot. But now he works purely for MONEY.He loves money more than anything else.He usually risks his life to get his exclusive pictures, because most of his victimes are tightly guarded by notrious and well armed bodyguards.

He is proud of being a private Photograper who earns his living by stalking scandalaous celebrities, superstars, divas, just to name a few, by any means to get their private pictures.Then he sells his exclusive works at extortionaly price to yellow newspapers, TABLOIDs, sensational magazines, tv networks that instantly becomes a SCOOP, the news story, the latest gossip from coast to coast, even globally !!

One of my cherished moment is admiring and enjoying his one of his brilliant works, the scoop in a Global Tabloid while sipping a cup of Chinese tea, a lone at home.

Is hit the Lottery another words of Hit the Jackpot ?

What about the Winfall profit last year? Do you mean the first Bonanza? To be honest I hadn't expect it, how lucky we're, we hit the Lottery. I hope in the first half of next year we will hit another Jackpot. Lucky you. How often do you think you can hit the lottery? Anytime as long as i live.

After two days' Outward Bound Training,I am beaten up!The only thing could put me in high spirits was the trainer who was a charming handsome rich guy.Hope next time he is our trainer again….....
